At Mountain Lake Church we are committed to change the way people think about church. We really do believe if we change the way people think about church...they will ultimately change the way they think about Christ. Because of this we are seeing life change take place all the time...it is awesome.
Lately God has been pushing us in some new ways when it comes to changing the way people think about church. With an expansion of our space on the horizon we met some really cool people at the National New Church Conference. Visioneering Studios is a really unique architectural firm lead my Mel McGowan. After meeting him at the conference Shawn and I jump on a plane this past Monday and headed to LA.
After spending about a day and half with Mel I am convinced that anyone considering develop a campus needs to consider the guys at Visioneering. Here is what I like about them...
- They get it...they are committed to changing way people think about church.
- They are resourceful...like true artist they take some really cool ideas and implement them on a shoe string budget. They really just make it work.
- They are about the kingdom...these guys could make a lot of money if they wanted to, but they have chosen to invest in churches.
- They like to hangout and eat sushi...hey if you like to hangout drink starbucks, eat sushi, etc...you are alright with me.
